The Muppets – The Great Muppet Removal

In a classic example of “invisible” visual effects, shade teamed up with Walt Disney Pictures and Supervisor/Producer Janet Muswell Hamilton to completely rebuild two interior car shots from scratch. Due to continuity decisions made in post, several Muppets needed to be removed, and large portions of both Man and Muppet characters needed to be recreated digitally to make these shots work.

The end result is a completely seamless and hidden vfx shot that the audience would never notice, yet helped propel the story as the Muppets and their friends make their journey to Hollywood.
